Communities: All communities

Thank you to everyone who voted in this year’s Borough Council election.

I am very grateful to everyone who placed their trust in me to represent Oakley & The Candovers as a Borough Councillor. Whether you voted for me or not, I will do my best to represent all residents across the ward.

Many people will already know me through my community activities over recent years in Oakley, including events, Neighbourhood Watch, the Parish Council and helping residents with local matters. I have tried to listen to people and help where I can, and that will continue in this new role. Being involved locally has always mattered to me, and over the years I have learned a lot from the people and groups who do so much for our community.

A lot of my time over recent years has been focused on Oakley, and this new role gives me the opportunity to work with people right across the ward. Oakley & The Candovers is made up of many different communities, each with their own priorities and local challenges. I look forward to working across the area in the years ahead, helping make sure the views and priorities of our local communities are not overlooked as the future of North Hampshire is shaped.

The election may now be over, but the work continues. Becoming a Borough Councillor gives me another way to help local areas and work on the issues that matter to residents.

Thank you again for all the support, encouragement and conversations along the way. I look forward to continuing to work with people across the area in the years ahead.
