How I use AI

Why I’m sharing this

My day job is looking after online software for invitations and cards. I use AI every day there, to help people rather than replace them.

I also use it in my community work, not just as a councillor but in everything I do locally.

That work is about supporting residents: connecting you with the right people and keeping local people shaping what happens. This site is one part of it. AI helps me put things across clearly. It doesn’t replace listening to you or deciding what matters.

I know AI isn’t part of everyone’s working life. That’s why I’ve published this page.

My priorities come from what I hear locally and what residents raise with me, not from the tools I use.

What I use it for

When I’m writing an update, a speech, or something on social media, I start with my own notes: what happened at a meeting, what you’ve raised with me, what I’m trying to get across. AI helps me say it clearly, check how something reads, or pick out what matters from a long document.

For this website, it helps with the layout, the code, and technical changes behind the scenes.

Your personal details

I never put your personal details into AI tools.

If you contact me, volunteer, or use a form on this site, that information is kept separately. When I use AI for research, even from an email or a document, I leave out names, addresses, and anything that could identify you.
